Everyone knows that unhealthy nutrition leads to obesity, but why is it insufficient to raise awareness on this issue?

Every parent wants their child to be healthy and have an adequate body index. However, for this, the child needs to be brought up with the awareness of proper nutrition.

It should not be surprising that parents who are unable to introduce a balanced and healthy diet to their children, when there are many opportunities, encounter undesirable consequences such as developmental disorders and obesity.

We can say that the most important factors in encountering such problems are family and school life. Although nutrition control can be achieved at home, we see that this is not possible in the school environment.

Making healthy eating a habit actually requires social awareness. Having a healthy eating method only at home may not be enough to convey this awareness to the child. We have to be socially responsible so that the child can acquire healthy eating habits at school or in other social environments with friends. The culture of eating and drinking in such communal living spaces needs to be built on healthy nutrition.

Keeping the child away from harmful advertisements on television should come first in the list of things to do in gaining the child a healthy eating habit. Because the child will consume all the foods in the advertisements thinking that it is healthy, they will consume them in the school, which is the living space outside the house. Inadequate and wrong eating habits are more common in children who do not learn the importance of nutrition both at home and at school.

Therefore, children should be taught at school how much and what type of food they need. Since the way of raising healthy and conscious generations will begin with teaching proper nutrition, children who acquire a balanced diet habit will be protected from many diseases by applying this habit in their future lives.

Let's look at how children with adequate and balanced nutrition will be affected:

Physical development continues in a healthy way,

Intelligence development increases,

The immune system is strengthened and its defense against diseases increases,

As the level of focus increases, learning power develops,

In the future, the defense mechanism against possible chronic diseases becomes stronger,

A healthy diet increases the academic and social success of the child.
